About The Partnership

The Interfaith Refugee Partnership, formerly known as the Inter-Church Refugee Partnership, began as a number of Eastern Ontario churches who met in January 2015 to help address the plight of refugees through sponsorship, support, and advocacy.

We have since worked in cooperation with Muslim and Jewish neighbours, and people not identified with any particular religion.  All of us are reaching out in faith to help a hurting world.

Our partners are listed in the sidebar on the right, but the situation in many countries is so desperate and the need so great we also rely on support from individuals and groups in the wider community.

We are particularly grateful for the expertise and support of Canadian Lutheran World Relief which holds our refugee sponsorship agreement, and provides a vital link with Citizenship and Immigration Canada, the federal department responsible for refugees.
